IntelliRecovery donates Data Recovery services to the Aceh Project -Tsunami Relief Organization.
The Aceh Province was the hardest hit of any of the tsunami affected areas. The latest numbers indicate over 180,000 people died in this small area due to it's close proximity to the epicenter.
Two organizations are in the forefront to assist in the disaster relief: Global Sikhs & Waves of Mercy. Both organizations are currently concentrating their reduced efforts near Sebang, on a village that was not hit nearly as badly as the region that Project Aceh is returning to.
IntelliRecovery was contacted to recover vital photographs which were taken on-site during relief efforts. IntelliRecovery Data Recovery has donated their services to the Aceh project to assist in any way they can to help the victims of this unfortunate disaster. Below is a letter from Mr. Michael Brown thanking IntelliRecovery for their assistance.
Dear IntelliRecovery,
Your help in recovering 6 weeks of tsunami relief photographs was invaluable and greatly appreciated. You can imagine our feelings when we received error messages upon trying to transfer our photographs to the computer, and then again our feelings of relief upon receiving the message from your technicians that many of the photographs were saved. Project Aceh is a volunteer organization formed after the tsunami of 26 December 2004, and involved in the relief and rebuilding in the Aceh Province of Sumatra Island, Indonesia. We contacted Intellirecovery when we thought 6 weeks of photographs were lost due to problems retrieving the information on the memory card of a digital camera. When we need data recovered, we know where to go!
